The Wrong Perp

School Officials in Burlington, New Jersey recently staged a lock-down drill, in which the mock school-shooting perpetrators were "Christian" gunmen "seeking justice because the daughter of one had been expelled for praying before class."

To rationalize this absurdity, Supt. Chris Manno said "You perform as you practice. We need to practice under conditions as real as possible in order to evaluate our procedures and plans so that they're as effective as possible."

As real as possible? I've yet to read of a single ACTUAL school shooting perpetrated by Christians. By contrast, Eric Harris wore a t-shirt emblazoned with he words "Natural Selection" as he and fellow gunman Dylan Klebold gleefully implemented "survival of the fittest" in the halls of Columbine High School. Among those deemed unfit for life: Christian students like Cassie Bernall.

No doubt, Harris and Klebold's hatred was fueled by a contemporary American culture that is more and more boldly demonizing Christians. By staging this ridiculous lock-down, Burlington Schools are now part of that culture.

Note: This April 20th will mark the 8th anniversary of Columbine as well as the 118th birthday of Adolph Hitler. Harris and Klebold deliberately chose the date to commemorate their hero, who also believed that eugenics and natural selection justified mass murder.
