Shattered Dreams

Last year, right before leaving Friendswood High School, my students and I did a project called "Shattered Dreams." It's a program that teaches students about the dangers of drinking and driving. There is a simulated drunk-driving accident in front of the school, and we, as the video department, were responsible for producing a film that showed the story leading up to, and following, that car crash.

My students wrote the script and did the majority of the shooting. Students were selected by the faculty to act in the film. Since one of my students recently posted the film on YouYube, I thought I would post it here while it's up. BTW, my brother Seth makes his film debut here (though he was an extra in a couple of things I've done). The film does contain violent car crash images and simulated (obviously) alcohol consumption. I was extremely proud of my students and their work, and I hope you enjoy the film.

About the tiny bit of distortion at the beginning of Part 2 - that was a processing error on YouTube's part. The original source file wasn't like that. You can see that part of the scene normally in Part 1 anyway.
