Backpack Mission Ministries

Backpack Mission Ministries from City on a Hill Productions.

I've decided to post this even though another song is due to be added (more info on that later).

This project has been such a tremendous blessing to all of us at City on a Hill Productions. I'll never forget the first time I spoke with Diane Durham over the phone as she explained how she and the volunteers of Backpack Mission Ministries provide "the least of these" in Appalachia with food to eat over the weekends. When I heard her story and the stories of these children, I knew we had to share these stories with as many people as possible. I pray that children of Appalachia will continue to be fed, and that God will continue to be glorified by the volunteers of Backpack Mission Ministries, whose light so brilliantly, but humbly, shines before men.
"Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven." -Matthew 5:16
Furthermore, if you have been looking for a ministry to support, I can say, having spent a lot of time with Diane and having seen her ministry in action, that Backpack Mission Ministries is the real deal.
"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world." -James 1:27
Special thanks to BJ Davis, who composed the music, and musicians Jimmy Herman (fiddle, mandolin) and Danny Raider (Guitar, Banjo). It was a pleasure working with all of you.

I greatly enjoyed the film. Just amazing what these 2 women are doing-truly spreading the love-by filling one backpack at a time-a wonderful novel idea. The film quality was outstanding-and I loved the music.
